Selected customer stories and case studies from Testfabrik projects across finance, insurance, ecommerce and digital learning.

Atruvia: scaling mobile testing across teams

Atruvia expanded from initial onboarding into a broad mobile testing setup with hundreds of devices, many users and growing automation usage across teams.

Challenge

Atruvia needed a scalable way to support mobile quality assurance for multiple teams in a large enterprise environment. The setup had to work reliably, integrate quickly and support ongoing growth without becoming an operational bottleneck.

Approach

After selecting webmate, the rollout moved from technical setup into staged enablement. Monitoring and reporting were established early, teams were onboarded in waves and device availability was aligned with real delivery needs instead of a generic one-size-fits-all setup.

Outcome

Within roughly a year, the environment had grown into a mature shared testing capability with a large active user base and more than two hundred mobile devices available for daily testing. Manual and automated testing both became part of the operating model.

TeamBank: reliable testing for digital finance products

TeamBank strengthened testing for digital credit and payment journeys across browsers and real devices where usability, speed and trust directly affect customer experience.

Challenge

Digital finance products have little room for friction. TeamBank needed dependable testing across browser combinations and mobile devices while supporting fast iteration on customer-facing journeys.

Approach

Testfabrik supported a setup that combined broad device coverage with practical testing workflows for product teams. Instead of relying only on emulation, testing could be performed against real target environments that better reflected real user behaviour.

Outcome

The result was a stronger basis for UI quality, shorter validation cycles and better confidence in releases for digital banking and payment scenarios where trust and usability are central.

CosmosDirekt & Generali Deutschland: quality for digital insurance journeys

CosmosDirekt used webmate to support testing for hybrid applications, online insurance journeys and a modern digital brand experience in a highly visible customer environment.

Challenge

Insurance journeys combine trust-sensitive customer interactions, product complexity and strict quality expectations. The team needed stable validation for hybrid applications and web-based conversion flows.

Approach

Testing was structured around the real digital touchpoints customers use: information journeys, application flows and supporting interfaces. The setup focused on broad usability and functional confidence across the environments that mattered most to the business.

Outcome

The organisation gained a more robust way to validate customer-facing insurance experiences and support the quality of a broader digital presence without compromising delivery speed.

CosmosDirekt: test automation in complex enterprise environments

This case study focused on the interaction between automation, environments, test data and deployment pipelines in a grown enterprise landscape.

Challenge

In mature enterprise environments, the challenge is rarely just writing tests. Test data, deployment coordination, environment stability and integration into existing delivery models often decide whether automation becomes valuable or fragile.

Approach

The work addressed automation as part of a larger system: test execution, environment management, test data handling and build/deployment processes were treated as connected concerns instead of separate workstreams.

Outcome

That systems view created a more realistic and sustainable basis for automation in a complex landscape, improving feedback speed while keeping the setup aligned with enterprise constraints.

Cornelsen: quality assurance for digital learning content

Cornelsen worked with Testfabrik to improve quality assurance for interactive learning applications and digital education content delivered in an agile context.

Challenge

Digital learning products combine content complexity, interactive interfaces and strong expectations around reliability. Cornelsen needed quality assurance that fit agile development while supporting a growing digital product portfolio.

Approach

Testfabrik supported a structured QA approach for interactive online applications and digital learning materials, with automation and delivery practices aligned to the realities of an agile publishing and product environment.

Outcome

Cornelsen gained stronger quality support for digital education offerings and a more dependable foundation for iterative delivery in a domain where consistency and accessibility matter deeply.
